This book is a good quality book. Just like the rest of them. The printing is good. The binding is solid. And the content is king.

I love the information in this book, however I seem to have obtained a misprint. My physical copy in particular repeats chapter 9, leaving chapter 8 unfinished. Sad I’ve only caught this now, but regardless, the information is great.

The artists are incredible and the art is very good, but there really isn't that much art through the book. This could be fine if the rest of the pages went more into detail teaching the various techniques, but there's really a lot more text that doesn't help much when the same concept could easily be explained in a paragraph or less. The only step-by-step that I remember is about the process of shading one particular drawing, which I'd say is the best piece in the book. It explains the basic uses of shape well enough, but there's really too much filler and not enough art to justify the price, in my opinion. There are many art books that explain all these concepts much better, with more examples, and for less money. I was extremely disappointed and ended up only referencing a few pages since I bought it after having read through once it arrived.

Absolutely loving this book! Wasn’t able to take classes in studio art or character design since I’ve been busy maintaining work and my graphic design degree-so mid through self studies I stumbled across this book on Instagram. Such a condensed layout in the book which is great-I feel like it’s the perfect text to visual ratio. It’s neat having different artists introduce their styles and layouts of workflow-keeps it interesting for the wandering left brained arties out there! Already seeing drastic progress in my work having no figure drawing knowledge at all (even though it’s based more around cartoon/character style it still has all the core fundamentals throughout). Best art resource I’ve got over the past few years. Thanks guys!!!
