I was surprised to find many art software utilities and art styles by the artists in the book. What I like most I think is the shortcut key bindings in some of them, and a glimpse into the full work process.

My only gripe was the price for the book, as this many pages in tandem with being hardback didn't cross as being worth $70 before tax. By contrast, I own a philosophical collection of Plato and Aristotle's work, summing up to 1000+ pages on thin rice paper – these were $60+ for just 1 book each, and it does make sense of this price for the amount of pages and the quality. I could have seen this digital art book as $40-$50 at the most, but I wonder if the price was this inflated as result of collaboration with the artists involved.

This book was amazing! I reread it often and learn something new each time. It is NOT a coffee table book but a real resource.

At first glance, I was dazzled by the book’s beautiful design. As someone who used to work for a textbook company, I sincerely appreciate all of the text features and small details that make this book so easy to use.

Going deeper into the content, I enjoyed how each lesson showcases an artist’s actual process. Just from perusing the first two lessons, I was able to walk away with several tips that improved my procreate experience! I’m excited to see what else I might discover when I’m ready for more!
